About

Sedona hike 12.2014 small Mark has been ‘creating’ all of his life. From being a self-taught graphic designer, to being an International best selling author, to taking his innovative Internet software company public on NASDAQ, to having a camera in his hands, Mark sees the world in creative ways.

It is the visual creation that attracts Mark to landscape photography. He has a unique ability to see interesting shapes, patterns, compositions, colors and the interplay of light on a subject. The study and use of photography allows him to capture and share what he sees in the landscape.

Mark loves the Southwest United States and the beautiful, widely varied landscapes found there. He can often be found hiking, camera in tow, in Arizona, New Mexico and Southern Utah. The largest Sonoran Desert preserve in the world, is literally outside his front door.

In addition to the outdoors and photography, Mark is passionate about dog rescue and helping find new homes for the thousands of dogs that are left in Arizona shelters each year. He frequently donates framed prints to fundraisers that support animal rescue and he serves on the board of directors of the Phoenix Animal Care Coalition (PACC911).
